Elite Redux changes the way a few effects work, such as Confusion and Infatuation, while also introducing new ones; notably, Bleed and Fear. This page lists all statuses and their effects.
Burn, Paralysis, Poison, Sleep, Frostbite
These statuses remain unchanged in Elite Redux.
- Burn deals a portion of the burned Pokémon's health and halves damage done by physical attacks.
- Paralysis reduces the Speed stat of the Pokémon and has a chance of rendering it unable to move during its turn.
- Poison deals a portion of damage of the Pokémon's health over time, and if Badly Poisoned, this damage increases on the next turn.
- Sleep makes a Pokémon unable to move during its turn.
- Frostbite, a mechanic from Pokémon: Legends Arceus, replaces Frozen, which deals damage to a portion of the Pokémon's health and halves damage done by special attacks.
Bleed
Bleed is a unique, non-volatile status effect that Elite Redux introduces. Whereas other status conditions are usually associated with a type, Bleed is associate mainly with Keen Edge boosted moves, but are not exclusive to that category.
Bleed deals 1/16th of the Pokémon's health as damage, similar to other damaging statuses. However, bleed also prevents healing effects, as well as negates stat boosts. Rock and Ghost Type Pokémon are immune to this status effect.
Using healing moves will cure the effect, but will not heal the Pokémon that turn.
Fear
Fear is a new status condition that traps the target for 2 turns. During this time, the inflicted Pokémon will take an increased 50% damage.
Confusion
Removing the RNG elements of Confusion, it now simply has the confused Pokémon take 33% of the damage it deals as recoil.
Infatuation
Infatuation has been reworked in Elite Redux. Infatuated targets now deal 50% less damage from both physical and special moves.
